Refunds & Exchanges

Please review these rules regarding unrestricted refundable and exchangeable fares, restricted non-refundable and non-exchangeable fares, and advance purchase discount fares on Greyhound. Refund policies may vary among connecting carriers.

Unused one-way and return trip Refundable fare tickets will have a refund value equal to the fare paid by the passenger (no cancellation penalty).

Return trip Refundable fare tickets in which the return portion is unused will have a refund value equal to the unused return portion of the fare.

Refundable fare tickets may be refunded with the original form of payment at the location at which the ticket was sold. All other Refundable fare tickets may only be refunded upon application for refund by the Greyhound Corporate Refund Department in Burlington, Ontario.

Refundable tickets will be refunded by Greyhound Canada Transportation Corp. to the original purchaser only. Valid photo identification must be presented.

Tickets are refundable for the period of one year since the date of purchase (see exception below). Tickets submitted for refund after this time period would have no refund value. Date of issue is determined by the date of purchase as printed on the original (not reissued) ticket.

Exception: If applicable, Refundable Print at Home Tickets must be submitted for refund on or prior to scheduled departure date. Non-Refundable Print at Home Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Departure date for any one-way or return ticket may be changed at no additional charge for Refundable fares and for a charge of $20 per ticket for non-refundable and Advance Purchase (7,14 and 21 day) fares provided the following conditions are met:

  1. Any advance purchase requirement must not be violated.
  2. Holiday blackout restrictions for Advance Purchase fares must not be violated in any exchange.
  3. Origin or destination may NOT be changed in an exchange.
  4. One year time limit of original ticket must not be violated. All transactions and travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date, unless otherwise specified.
  5. Ticket must not be a Discovery Pass, Commuter Ticket or other program for which ticket changes are not allowed.
  6. Print at Home Tickets are acceptable for only the date and schedule selected during the purchase process.

Note: No fee will apply if the date or schedule has been missed as a result of delays caused by breakdowns, road conditions or other conditions beyond carrier’s control.
